Morning Mail: Thank You from Moderators

Thank you for publishing both Jim Almendinger’s article and Brian Shaughnessy’s opinion piece publicly clarifying that the Attorney General’s Office agreed with the NH Municipal Association and the municipal bar about the right of moderators to postpone town meetings.

The public criticism of municipal bar members, NHMA, and local officials did not end with HB 329. On June 12, at a budget committee of conference request for an attorney position (previous position requests have been proposed in bills) in the Secretary of State’s Office to administer election laws and train clerks, NH House Speaker Shawn Jasper said there is great misunderstanding of election laws at the local level.

Links to these articles have been published on the moderator blog hosted by NHMA, and I am sure many will find the clarifications heartening.
