Court News: 1st Cirucit Local Rule Amendments Proposed

The United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Boston has proposed amendments to local rules and procedure.

The Court proposes to amend Local Rule 11.0 and Operating Procedure VI to delete a cross reference to the court’s Sept. 14, 2009, Administrative Order Regarding Case Management/Electronic Case Files System (“CM/ECF”) and to substitute it with a reference to Local Rule 25.0, which will include the text of the aministrative order. If the amendments are adopted, the order will no longer be in effect.

In addition, there are some minor changes to reflect the implementation of CJA eVoucher and to permit electronic filing of case-initiating documents, such as petitions for review and petitions for a writ of mandamus.

If you are in doubt about the status of any meeting, please call the Bar Center at 603-224-6942 before you head out.
