Mahoney to Receive Pro Bono Award

Marilyn Mahoney

Manchester family law attorney Marilyn Mahoney of Harvey & Maloney Law Offices in Manchester has been selected to receive the 2017 Bruce E. Friedman Pro Bono Award. This award is given each year by the NH Bar Association and UNH School of Law to recognize a UNH Law graduate and NHBA member who has made significant and exemplary contributions to the delivery of volunteer legal services to the vulnerable and needy.

She has been a stalwart supporter of Pro Bono, both providing direct representation of eligible clients and supporting Pro Bono as an institution by participating in trainings and referral marathons and appearing in a recruitment video. Although in private practice, her career has been dedicated to the achievement of justice for all, consciously choosing to represent for free at all times at least one person who normally would not be able to access legal representation.

A graduate of UNH Law, Mahoney was also a close personal friend and great fan of Friedman.

The award will be presented during a special Pro Bono Week event, at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the atrium at UNH Law.

Supreme Court Rule 42(9) requires all NH admitted attorneys to notify the Bar Association of any address change, home or office.
