Bar members and donors to the Bar Foundation are invited to a reception honoring 2016 NH Bar Foundation Fellow William Chapman following the Midyear Meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 4 at the Radisson Hotel/Center of New Hampshire in Manchester. The event, with cash bar and appetizers, will be in the Frost/Hawthorne room (Mezzanine level).

The brief program also will feature the presentation of the 2016 Justice Grants. Details on the 10 grants will be announced soon.

Members attending the Midyear Meeting are encouraged to visit the Bar Foundation exhibit table. Attendees can find out how to maximize the revenue earned by their IOLTA deposits by doing business with financial institutions that offer higher interest rates on lawyers trust accounts. IOLTA last year granted $800,000 to legal aid organizations.

Use the NHBA Legislation Watch website in For Members area to look at bills grouped by practice or interest area that have been introduced in the legislature. The Bar Association’s Board of Governors takes positions on only a small number of bills, but tracks many more.
