NHMCLE Tip: Summertime and Filing is Easy

Judge Cassavechia

If you have not completed your credits and/or you have not filed the compliance affidavit, we have three messages for you:

  • it's not too late to avoid August 1 late fees;
  • time is passing;
  • the online filing process is not difficult. (More than three quarters of the NHBA members subject to the rule have already completed the process.)

Complete course requirements and e-file the online affidavit by July 31, 2017 to avoid late fees and penalties.

The ART My Record page will show courses attended on the date taken in the applicable reporting year. The date attended will determine whether the course shows in the July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017 reporting year or the current year: July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.

Visit www.nhmcle.org to follow through on the reporting process. The site also has a number of resources to answer commonly asked questions.

Good Luck Objects and Rituals

Do you have a lucky pair of socks? How about a restaurant you always visit or a meal you always eat before a big meeting or hearing? Bar News would like to hear from readers about their keepsakes and good-luck rituals, either current or from the past, for a potential feature.

Please email us with a description (and photo if possible) of your lucky object or place, along with your thoughts about why it is or was helpful to you in securing positive outcomes.

Please send submissions by Friday, July 14. NHBA board member Cathy Shanelaris inspired us to delve into this topic with this great column last year.
