Lawyers on Ice: Justice v. Liberty – 1/15

The Second Annual NH Pro Bono Referral Program Benefit Hockey Game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, in Sullivan Arena, at Saint Anselm College, Goffstown, NH. Come see attorney and judge teams Justice and Liberty battle it out on the ice. Spectator tickets are just $5.

All proceeds benefit the NHBA Pro Bono Referral Program. Donations welcome.

Law School Alumni Reunions

The NH Bar Association’s Midyear Meeting presents the perfect opportunity to reunite with fellow alumni of your law school. Law schools are invited to host dinners in conjunction with the meeting, which is scheduled for Friday, March 10, at the Radisson Hotel/Center of NH in Manchester, NH. 

NHBA staff assists dinner organizers by providing restaurant info, a sample invitation letter and response form, and alumni mailing labels from the Bar’s member database.

The February issue of Bar News will feature a special section on tax law. Do you have an idea for an article that would showcase your expertise as it relates to this area or ways in which tax law intersects with other practice areas? Do you want to write an opinion piece about New Hampshire’s tax structure?

Merrimack County Bar Meeting – 12/13

The Merrimack County Bar Association will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 at the Red Blazer Restaurant, 72 Manchester St., Concord to hear tips and strategy advice from the following judges:

A free event at UNH Law this Friday includes a brown bag lunch and a panel discussion with three former members of Congress and a U.S. Ambassador, moderated by Robert L. Bixby, executive director of The Concord Coalition.

Panelists: Former U.S. Congressmen for New Hampshire Charles Bass, William H. Zeliff, Paul Hodes and Retired U.S. Ambassador George Bruno.
