Job Title: NHBA Law Substantive Sections Coordinator

Summary: The Professional Development Sections Coordinator supports the efforts of the Professional Development Department in coordinating activities with CLE functions and providing support to the NHBA Substantive Law Sections membership.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works with Sections officers to schedule, coordinate, and prepare for meetings, including all logistics, notification to members and subscribers, and material and equipment preparation.
  • Ensures that meetings with a CLE component comply with NHMCLE requirements and NHBA CLE guidelines; presents all proposals for CLE to the CLE Committee at its monthly meetings, routinely collaborating with the CLE Coordinator. Trained in Rule 53 and the Attorney Reporting Tool system.
  • Coordinates CLE registration and reporting with CLE Registrar, conducts post-program follow-up.
  • Supports and coordinates ongoing projects and timelines and communicates with appropriate Section members.
  • Maintains, monitors, updates, and utilizes appropriate forums.
  • Promotes forum usage
  • Coordinates Section Officer election results
  • Provides Section Chair orientation, communication, and education as necessary
  • Maintains website Section calendar and individual Section web pages with all Section-related activities, to include meeting and chair information
  • Reviews Section invoices for Director approval
  • Tracks Section expenses for budget purposes. Assists in preparation of the annual departmental budget.
  • Notifies Professional Development Director of any Section projects or anticipated activities that may require the involvement or action of the Board of Governors
  • Applies knowledge of organization, programs, products, and services to efficiently assist members, and respond to inquiries and complaints in a diplomatic manner
  • Collaborate on any marketing needs with designated MarCom staff
  • Provides support to the Professional Development department as needed. Cross-trained in and supports essential functions of the CLE Coordinator, providing back up for that position as needed.
  • Cross-trained in and supports as needed the following tasks:
    •  Enters registration in Associate and processes invoices and payments for on-site, day-of-event registrations;
    •  Processes cancellations and refunds for live seminars;
    • Creates and sends departmental mailings via Constant Contact; and,
    • Processes payments for CLE Club.
  • Performs other duties as designated by the Director of Professional Development.
