While face masks are optional at NHBA meetings, CLEs, and other events, they remain highly recommended for large gatherings and meetings indoors.

Members and guests agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath). Members and guests have an affirmative obligation not to reserve conference spaces or attend NHBA meetings, CLEs, or other programs if having COVID-like symptoms, and to report to bar staff if they subsequently test positive. Facemask use is recommended by attendees with personal risk factors and for the safety of others. In registering for and attending an NHBA-sponsored CLE or other meeting or event, participants agree to the NHBA COVID-19 safety acknowledgment and liability waiver and release of claims.

The NHBA follows current CDC guidelines for its on-site CLEs and other meetings and events. The NHBA reserves the right to apply more stringent protocols as determined prudent by management. Reasonable efforts will be made to notify registrants of changes to the protocol in advance of an event.
